Why Opioid Overdose Education as a Massage Therapist is Important.
Having opioid overdose education as a massage therapist has equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to respond quickly and effectively in case of an opioid overdose, with a focus not just on what to do but also what not to do. I am proud to have taken the necessary steps to focus on the safety and well-being of my clients by keeping Narcan in my first aid kit. Narcan, also known as naloxone, is a medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, potentially saving a life.
