Praise for Meg Donnelly and NoVA Weekend Warriors

I’m an endurance athlete and I’ve been visiting Meg for over a year. It’s now a basic part of my recovery/attrition management. I’d always thought massage was kind of an indulgent nice-to-have. When I showed up I was concerned I had a serious back problem. She proved me wrong on both counts.

...

Meg is an excellent massage therapist. Before each massage she sure to ask about any areas you’d like to focus on. She’s a great listener. I always feel amazing after session with Meghan.

She’s extremely knowledgeable and well-trained. You will not be disappointed.

...

She’s incredibly friendly, warm and approaches her work from a sports medicine perspective. If you’re working through an injury or just want to avoid one, get on her calendar.

...

Over the last year Meg has become a irreplaceable factor in my running routine, from pre race stretching sessions to post race recovery massages. I love the products she uses, I never leave feeling greasy or oily which means I can carry on with my day without having to run home to shower. Meg makes sure that each person that walks through her door gets a customized massage based on your needs! No cookie cutter, one size fits all here! Thanks Meg for all you do!!!

...

I have always lived in this mindset of "deeper the better" when it came to getting massages, So when Meg told me that wasn't her style I was a little skeptical but she told me to give her a chance and see how I felt and I am so glad I did. As a long distance runner I put my body under a lot of stress. I went into Meg after running a half marathon, showing up with a high level and soreness and left practically pain free!

...

I’ve been seeing Meg for over a year now! My sessions with Meg have had a huge positive impact for preparation and recovery from running several half marathons as well as getting me through my first 2 full marathons!

...

What a wonderful experience.  I love the hands on flow from one area to the next and the shoulder rotation improves the range of motion.  Meg is very knowledgeable in how each muscle relates to the body.

...

When I first moved to Reston I used to go to [another establishment] but became tired of therapists telling me how tight my muscles were or that I should “really stretch more” it’s hard to relax when you think someone is going to criticize you.

When I met Meg and shared my past massage experiences with her she was very reassuring and said that everyone’s body is different and that she was there to help and not to give me a lecture. I haven’t looked back since!
